Coffin Bay 13th,14th,15th & 17th Of January 2009
The CBBPS is pleased to announce that spots are now open for our annual handling school, held over the 13th -15th of January. This great school is becoming renowned for the opportunity to increase and encourage new skills in horse handling & horsemanship. Each year the society runs in yearlings that need to be halter broke, taught to lead, pick up legs, tied up, taught to float load and lead through and over obstacles. We also have a selection of two year olds that need refreshing before they go to auction. Many past students have found the school a great way to assess Brumbies that they may want to purchase at auction!
So be quick to join Safe Horse Australia approved instructor Shane Cooper and the CBBPS for this fantastic opportunity.

Anna. Registered name "Dustee Daddys Girl" with the Clydesdale Cross Sport Horse Association http://www.ccsha.com as a "Sport Horse" and Queensland Pinto Horse Association http://www.queenslandpintos.org . 15.2 hh, approx 10 yo. Paint x clydesdale mare. Anna is broken in and is smooth to ride, good brakes and steering, responds to pressure and is neither pulling at the bit or constantly needing to be pushed on. She is great to truck or float, brush and wash. We have not shod her so dont know there. She comes when called in the paddock. Anna does require an experienced rider preferably with time to put into her as although she is an older mare we would class her as "green" ie she needs direction from her rider and some further education would not go astray. She is touchy around her poll and ears (to touch and sudden movements around them) but with persistance she will lower her head right down for a scratch. Anna is only for sale as I dont have the time to put into her NOW, by the time I do spend that time I will not require her as a riding horse as I have a young colt on the way up for this purpose. Anna has apparently had a few foals and been a good mum although this is heresay I can pass on contact details to any interested parties of a previous owner who had Anna from 2003 to 2005 apparently and you can enquire for yourself. She would make a very nice broodmare of coloured heavy horses/sport horses, as this is not the direction our own breeding is going I would rather sell her than breed to her myself although I do think any issues she has are manmade. Anna is for sale for $1500 (will do payment terms) - this is NOT negoitable however I am willing to swap her for a suitable horse for me now for either of the purposes I will require one - riding or breeding - pinto/dilute/double dilute mare 13 - 15 hh.

Approx 16.2hh, Drk Brown 11yo Gelding Nugget is a lovely boy with an awsome nature. He was in full work until i had my car accident, which has made me not be able to ride for a while. He has been out of work for 5 months, however this has made him very slow (not goey). I had a lady ride him for me about 2 weeks ago and he was an angel. All he will need is someone to re-fresh his memory. I brought him as my show horse, so he can collect, extend etc. Great to Shoe, worm, etc. Nice even floaty storng movement. This filly is a real gem. She is happy, curious people lover. Vice free, no kick, bite etc. A dream to c/t/f/w. My "unhorsie" mother can handle her without a problem. Had all pre-backing training, eg. Ground handling, Lunging, mouthed, lunged with bridle and saddle on. Took everything in her stride. Very sensible quite filly for her age. Not at all a "typical arab." Introduced to "Scary objects" such as tarp, plastic, barrels, tires and more. Not at all worried about traffic. Loves children and being patted and cuddled. A “been there done that” sort of horse with a kind and willing attitude to work. She is easy to catch and stands to be haltered in the paddock. She is not fazed by dogs and kangaroos as she often come across them when we are out on a trail ride in the bush or riding down to the beach. She has attended many XC and SJ clinics and is well educated (responds to the lightest of aids). She has been schooled to SJ 1.30 and has competed to Pre Novice in 2008 by another rider. She has also competed at CT days, dressage comps (prelim and novice), gymkhanas, hacking, Pony Club and ODE’s. Reluctant sale of a true friend, but I have too many horses and not enough time for all of them. Vet check welcome (she has a fresh knock on her rear leg due to being kicked but is healing well now). His name is Pierce. He is 16hh 7yo very sweet natured grey gelding. He has been done alot of pony club and freshamns showjumping. He has nice paces for dressage is very very calm and sensible. He has a snaffle mouth for cross country and is great with water ditches and hedges, he is bold as brass and tough as nails and has never refused at any fences! he also very rarely has a rail down. He has won a champion in ridden hack and has a reserve for ridden hack and has competed at grade 3 and open grade 2 level. He has continously placed and competed in 1m + height classes and has won many showjumping events as well. He is a very sweet horse and I am very sad to sell him but I am not using him at the moment and I wish to excel in showjumping. A good home for him is more important to me than money and I am very neg to approved home as he deserves one :)
